Assessment & Reporting

Assessment is an ongoing part of teaching and learning in the classroom. Reporting takes place on a regular basis.

St Brigid’s provides formal reporting twice a year as mandated by government regulation. This includes:

  • Formal Parent/Teacher meetings, which are held twice a year. The first is early in Term One and the second is at the end of Term Two.

Teachers are happy to meet with parents at other times if required. Please remember teachers cannot speak with parents at length whilst supervising their students. Teachers also have school meetings after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • Written reports are provided mid-year and end of the year.

Reports are currently online for all students through the Nforma software package. For access to your child’s reports you must have an email address registered through our school office. This enables parents to have access to reports for all of the time your child is enrolled at St. Brigid’s.

  • Parent Support Group (PSG) meetings, for students with additional needs are held at least three times per year.

The information reported provides a clear understanding of what students have learned. It focuses on students developing skills and competencies and assists in identifying what is needed to improve learning. The focus is on the individual student’s achievement, rather than comparing and ranking students.

Reports are accessed by parents online through a specific portal emailed out by St Brigid’s. This way parents always have access to their child’s reports through an online portal.
